Domestic abuse awareness

This course was developed  to support HM Government’s Ending Violence against Women and Girls strategy 2016-2020. This course covers the nature of abuse, national policy, legislation and guidance, the court system and legal remedies, case law, prevention options and good practice examples.

Why attend?

The VAWG strategy recognises the importance of national and local government, local partners, agencies and communities work together to prevent women and girls from becoming victims of domestic abuse. This course supports local authorities to ensure victims are able to access the right support at the right time.

Courses can be arranged in 2 ways ;

1. Courses are available in house for a minimum of 10 internal delegates, but the room must accommodate 20 delegates (NPSS will be responsible for arranging the additional 10 delegates). The Courses are charged at just £76 ex. VAT per delegate.

2. A course can be  arranged in house at a total cost of £860 + trainer expenses, with the authority or organisation confirming how many delegates they would like to attend , with a minimum 5 and a maximum of 20 delegates on each course.. 

All courses will need the authority or organisation to provide the room and related equpment, water and tea/coffe at registration and break times.
